Our Community Building Plan is based on three key objectives – economic innovation, promoting health and wellbeing, and community strengthening.

Our initiatives to create communities are as diverse as our residents and include family events, cultural festivities, learning and employment opportunities, community governance initiatives and recreational activities.

Community building policies and practices worldwide have recognised the real, positive impact on people’s lives when they live in a community where they have opportunity, a strong sense of connection and where they feel valued and empowered to make a contribution.

Community building is integral to the Urban Communities team and to the partnerships we forge with like-minded organisations that share our vision of creating a great place to live.
